Calling

Calling is an intimate interactive installation that considers questions of drug addiction, family, childhood, trauma, and nostalgia. The audience members are enticed to pick up the ringing phone. Once at the viewer’s ear, a former alcoholic recalls his childhood memories, struggles with addiction, and his current calling to become an Episcopal Priest. Accompanying the phone are furniture and objects from the mans home
